Just like most walking guides from Hallewell, this nifty little paperback published back in 2008 is easy to bring along on your walks. It is just 32 pages with the approximate dimensions 19 x 11 x 0.2 cm.
Written by Paul Williams and illustrated by Rebecca Coope, Walks Oban & North Argyll is focused on the area surrounding the coastal town of Oban. The nearby islands that can be reached from Oban are included in the book, while the inland limit is Bridge of Orchy.
The book contains a total of 26 walks. The shortest one is just half a mile, while the longest is 14 miles. A lot of easy walks are included as well as some that will take you walking up inland hills.
Examples of beautiful routes found in this book are Oban – Gallanach and Tyndrum – Bridge of Orchy. Route descriptions are accompanied by 2-colour sketch maps.
